PsychNP Wellness Center, LLC focuses on the person as a whole and not just the symptoms. We pride ourselves on providing holistic care of body, mind, and spirit. No two people are alike, and that is why our practitioners take the time to really get to know each individual in order to provide a successful course of treatment. We are able to provide both therapy as well as medication management if deemed necessary.
Psychiatric Evaluation
A psychiatric evaluation is the process necessary to determine a diagnosis and/or course of treatment. There are many areas that are covered during the evaluation including:
A complete psychiatric history
Reason for seeking care at this time (why now?)
An inquiry about your current social circumstances, family relationships, current and past use of alcohol and drugs, and your past treatment history (current and past diagnoses, and use of prescribed medication).
Your culture and ethnicity, (cultural values can influence the way a person and their family communicates psychological distress and responds to a diagnosis of mental illness).
Lastly, the practitioner may need to gather collateral information from other sources such as your family members, friends, or colleagues.
Medication Management
Once your evaluation has been completed, a course of treatment will be developed, and we will provide continual assessment and evaluation of the medications we have prescribed for you.
Psychotherapy
We have licensed practitioners that can provide therapy on a regular basis if determined that this is required through your assessment. You may already have a therapist, and that will in no way interfere with the care received through our practice. You are in no way obligated to see our therapists, and this is always your decision, based on your needs.
Telepsychiatry
We are pleased to announce that we provide tele-psychiatry. This can be provided on an individual basis as determined by your practitioner. We utilize a HIPPA approved behavioral health platform
